CalAsia team has over 20 years of experience in designing constructs to yield drug targets, proteins and enzymes in biologically active forms using a combination of homology, structure and bioinformatics based tools.
The designed variants can be effectively cloned into different vectors suitable for producing proteins in E. coli and yeast expression systems.
Prior to scaling up protein production, the expression conditions are optimized to yield maximum quantity of soluble proteins.
CalAsia Pharmaceuticals has developed protocols and cell lysis buffer reagents to maximize the protein in the soluble fraction during lysis.
In addition, we have also developed protocols to efficiently purify proteins from insoluble fractions including inclusion bodies and reconstitute them into biologically active forms.
We can purify tens of milligrams of proteins containing affinity tags and non-affinity variants resulting in over 90% pure samples suitable for screening compound libraries for measuring efficacy, selectivity, structure based lead discovery and to understand structure activity relationships.
